Waveguide
Controlled dispersion
Direct sound from the speaker is always combined
with room re昀氀ections. Well-executed, controlled
dispersion ensures that also the o昀昀-axis (re昀氀ected)
sounds have a correct balance. This results in a
more controlled and predictable performance
in di昀昀erent rooms and speaker placements.
This is especially important in rooms, which are
acoustically hard and re昀氀ective such as concrete
walls and stone 昀氀oors.
Directional control without compromise
Nowadays, many manufacturers are woken
up to the bene昀椀ts of waveguides. Traditionally,
waveguides have been used to make the tweeters
more directional ie. to make them more beamlike. Amphion, being a frontrunner in waveguides,
applies this technology di昀昀erently.
Wide and even dispersion
Our proprietary 5th generation U/D/D (Uniformly
Directive Di昀昀usion) waveguide achieves wide,
even dispersion throughout the frequency band. In
addition to allowing the speakers to perform better
in all rooms - a large, room-昀椀lling, listening area
